Choosing someone to watch your kid on a daily basis is a daunting task. Ask friends or trusted resources for referrals, and then ask the referrals for references of current and past parents of attendees. If you ever feel strangely uncomfortable, go somewhere else.

KidsPark is a professionally staffed parent cooperative drop-in child care service sponsored by the Macalester-Groveland Community Council in the St. Paul Division of Parks and Recreation. It's licensed to provide care for children 6 weeks through 5 years old (not yet in kindergarten) in the mixed age room during the hours of 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. Monday through Friday year-round, and infants from 6 weeks through 16 months Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. Member families can make reservations up to one week in advance. Time is reserved in both rooms in no less than a 2 hour block. The fee is $7.50 an hour for children in the infant room and $7.00 an hour for children in the mixed age room.
